Why This Was Built
BURNGRADE began with a wildfire evacuation.
As a homeowner, I witnessed firsthand how underprepared my own property—and much of the surrounding community—was. When we returned, I began looking at what actions could have been taken and questioning why the path to starting them had not been clearer.
What I found was not a lack of information. There was already a strong foundation of established wildfire science, but homeowners lacked a clear roadmap for understanding what applied to their property, what to prioritize, and where to start.
BURNGRADE was created to help close that gap—not by redefining wildfire science, but by helping homeowners turn established guidance into prioritized action.
I also came to believe that wildfire resilience cannot be driven by one company alone. It requires participation from homeowners, communities, fire professionals, public agencies, and resilience organizations.
I built the engine, but homeowners and communities drive the progress.
My hope is that BURNGRADE gives people living with wildfire risk a clear place to begin, a practical path forward, and confidence that meaningful action is possible.

Built for Homeowners and Communities
Wildfire resilience begins with individual properties, but meaningful progress depends on participation across entire communities.
BURNGRADE is designed to begin with the homeowner while supporting broader participation across HOAs, communities, fire districts, and resilience organizations. Individual property scores and reports remain private, while aggregated information can help communities better understand shared needs and priorities.
